James Twomey on ERA Reverb Remover & ERA Noise Remover
Multi-awarded post production engineer James Twomey talks about his work and using ERA Reverb Remover and Noise Remover
James Twomey is a post production engineer and the co-founder of two of the most successful New York post production studios. He has won three Emmy awards as well as Clio and New York Radio awards. You have most definitely heard his work as his portfolio includes works such as Disney’s Movie Earth, the Olympic Games, voiceover work that James Earl Jones has recorded over the last 35 years as well as ADR for Miyazaki’s movies “Princess Mononoke” and “Kiki’s Delivery Service”, which is considered some of the best ADR for anime ever done.
We had a chat with James about our audio restoration software, more specifically ERA Noise Remover and ERA Reverb Remover. What’s unique about those tools is that they’re not only incredibly efficient but also ridiculously easy to use. They literally work as fast as turning a knob. Here’s what he had to say;
“In this kind of work you have to work fast. Getting a job and having to turn it in two or three hours later was shocking to me but now I’ve gotten accustomed to that sort of thing. Trying to accomplish that I had the opportunity to use some new plugins by Accusonus. The ERA Noise Remover and the ERA Reverb Remover. These two tools have been really valuable to me particularly in those last Olympics. They’re fast, they’re easy, they’re one knob. Currently I own some of the other brands of noise reduction tools, but I happen to like these better just for those reasons. They are fast and they sound great. “
